Out-Patient Mental Health Therapist 

(LICSW, LGSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPCC)

Compass North is seeking a full-time outpatient mental health therapist for our clinic in Grand Rapids Minnesota. Here at Compass North, we believe that every individual is on a unique journey. Our Mission at Compass North is Helping People, Helping Community. We always strive to meet the best interest of those we are working with. Compass North believes in teaming up with clients and the community in order to reach personalized treatment goals.

Compass North provides a continuum of services within Itasca County. Our services consist of; Outpatient Mental Health, Mental Health-Targeted Case Management, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Chemical Dependency services for adults and adolescents, as well as contracted medication management. We work hard to collaborate with our community patterns as well as our interagency collaborations in order to best meet the needs of our clients. 

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide services that are consistent with the mission and values of Compass North. 

  • Build and maintain a full-time caseload.

  • Design and implement treatment plans that focus on the goal of recovery. 

  • Complete Diagnostic Assessments and Progress Notes following documentation standards. 

  • Maintain legible and organized patient electronic health records in accordance with policy and requirements of the State of Minnesota.

  • Attend weekly clinical consultation with other providers and additional meetings as deemed necessary.

  • Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings in accordance with licensing board standards.

  • Work collaboratively with all staff and programs at Compass North as well as other agencies within the community in order to best meet the needs of all clients. 

Qualifications:

  • Staff must be a qualified Licensed Mental Health Professional in accordance with Minnesota and Rule 29 regulations.

  • Staff must pass DHS background study.

  • Staff must work as a team in a positive and cooperative fashion.

  • Staff must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to complete electronic health records.

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (Mental Health Practitioner)

Compass North is seeking a full-time mental health practitioner to work in our Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services program at our clinic in Grand Rapids Minnesota.

Compass North provides a continuum of services within Itasca County. Our services consist of; Outpatient Mental Health, Mental Health-Targeted Case Management, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Chemical Dependency services for adults and adolescents, as well as contracted medication management.   • Maintain legible and organized patient electronic health records in accordance with policy and requirements of the State of Minnesota.

  • Attend weekly clinical consultation with other providers and additional meetings as deemed necessary.

  • Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings in accordance with licensing board standards.

  • Work collaboratively with all staff and programs at Compass North as well as other agencies within the community in order to best meet the needs of all clients.

Qualifications:

  • Mental Health Practitioners providing services for the treatment of mental illness must be qualified in one of the following ways:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited college or university and meets either one of these: (a) Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in a delivery of mental health services to recipients with mental illness OR (b) Is fluent in a non-English language of a cultural group to which at least 50% of the clients belong, completes 40 hours of training in the delivery of services to clients with mental illness, and receives clinical supervision from a mental health professional at least once a week until the requirements of 2,000 hours of supervised experience are met.

  • Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to recipients with mental illness.

  • Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines at an accredited college or university that formally assigns the student to an agency or facility for clinical training

  • Holds a master’s or other graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university. Clinical Supervision available towards licensure is available.

  • Staff must pass DHS background study.

  • Staff must work as a team in a positive and cooperative fashion.

  • Staff must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to complete electronic health records.

Substance Use Disorder Counselor
(Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor)

Mental Health Targeted Case Management
(Mental Health Practitioner)

Compass North is seeking a full-time mental health practitioner to work in our Adult Mental Health Targeted Case Management program at our clinic in Grand Rapids Minnesota.

We always strive to meet the best interest of those we are working with. Compass North believes in teaming up with clients and the community in order to reach personalized treatment goals.

Compass North provides a continuum of services within Itasca County. Our services consist of; Outpatient Mental Health, Mental Health-Targeted Case Management, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Chemical Dependency services for adults and adolescents, as well as contracted medication management. We work hard to collaborate with our community patterns as well as our interagency collaborations in order to best meet the needs of our clients. 

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Helps an adult with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) gain access to medical, social, educational, vocational and other necessary services connected to the person’s mental health needs.

  • It also includes referring and linking the person to mental health and other services while ensuring coordination and monitoring of the delivery of services.

  • A case manager provides support and advocacy for a client.

  • Build and maintain a full-time caseload.

  • Design and implement treatment plans that focus on the goal of recovery. 

  • Complete Functional Assessments and Progress Notes following documentation standards. 

  • Maintain legible and organized patient electronic health records in accordance with policy and requirements of the State of Minnesota.

  • Attend weekly clinical consultation with other providers and additional meetings as deemed necessary.

  • Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings in accordance with licensing board standards.

  • Work collaboratively with all staff and programs at Compass North as well as other agencies within the community in order to best meet the needs of all clients.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in the human services field and qualifies as a Mental Health Practitioner

  • Good communication, computer, organizational skills

  • The ability and desire to work with in a multidisciplinary team setting required

  • Driver's License (Required)

  • Staff must pass DHS background study.

  • Staff must work as a team in a positive and cooperative fashion.

  • Staff must be proficient in the use of computers and have the ability to complete electronic health records.
