Brittany Fundaun Landey, MS
Therapist
Brittany discovered a passion for psychology while attending Itasca Community College, obtaining an associates degree in Applied Psychology and Human Services. She went on to attend Bemidji State University while working in the mental health field, completing a Bachelor's in Psychology and completing her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2018.
Brittany has been an adjunct instructor of psychology at Itasca Community College. Brittany has over 7 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families.
Brittany uses a person centered and trauma informed approach to cognitive behavioral therapy. Brittany is currently working on obtaining her LPC licensure.
Chloe Harrison, MA
Therapist
Chloe Harrison is working on receiving her licensure to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. Chloe firmly believes each person has their own story with hills and valleys, sometimes all someone needs is another person to walk alongside them through their trials and tribulations. The therapeutic relationship is important to foster a space for healing from the wounds of this life.
Chloe has a special interest in trauma work and is currently in the process of obtaining her EMDR certification. Along with EMDR; Chloe also utilizes Person-Centered therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy and some modalities from Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Chloe has worked with a variety of diagnoses from trauma, depression, anxiety.
Heather Rhodes, MS LP
Therapist
Heather Rhodes has been providing individual counseling and psychological services for over twenty years. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in psychology and religion from Gustavus Adolphus
College. She received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She also completed two years in a doctoral clinical psychology program.
Heather is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. People hurting emotionally, physically, or spiritually are in need of restoration. Respecting and honoring the values of an individual during counseling is important. For those who request it, Christian/Biblical counseling is available. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other therapeutic approaches are utilized to help people develop an awareness of issues and apply new strategies to facilitate change, healing, and wholeness in life. Heather works with clients on a number of issues and concerns including anxiety, panic, stress-related disorders, chronic health conditions, depression, low self-esteem, grief, loss, and life transitions.
Lori Pehrson, MS
Therapist
Lori had started working in the mental health field as a mental health practitioner in area schools, along with case management. Her work involved working with children and their families teaching skills and looking at different resources that were on an individual needs basis. In 2019, she obtained her graduate degree from Capella University in Mental Health Counseling and is working towards licensure. Her approach to therapy is individualized as she believes everyone is unique in their own way with life's experiences.
Her therapeutic work is designed by the need of the client and their learning style, solution -focused, cognitive behavioral approach, additional training includes CBT)Trauma focus, and person centered and relationship focused.
Laura Nikkel, MS, LPCC

Laura is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Organizational Behavior from the College of St. Scholastica. She obtained her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling/Psychology from Capella University. Laura strongly believes that each of us is as unique as our fingerprint: that, at the core, we are made up, not only of our physical DNA, but also every experience and personal interaction throughout our lifetime. Therefore, her approach to therapy is one that is person-centered and individualized to meet each client’s unique needs with compassion, understanding, empathy and nonjudgment. Laura is honest in acknowledging that life can often present challenges, painful struggles, and even traumatic events beyond our control; but she has personally experienced and witnessed the fact that by being provided with a safe therapeutic environment, each of us possesses the capacity to learn, grow, change and heal: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. By exploring the root cause of our emotional experience and accepting the pain of the past, emotional healing can occur. She has a special interest in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as being experienced in supporting people struggling with depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and women’s self-esteem.
Becky Zidarich, MAFP

Becky has been in the mental health field for over 15 years and holds a master’s degree in forensic psychology. She has experience working with adults, at risk youth and families, as well as has worked with crime victims.
Becky is trained in TF-CBT, offender treatment, family assessments and has been part of the crisis response team. She also utilizes CBT, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy.
Becky’s approach is to provide individuals with a non-judgmental space in which they can develop a sense of self-worth and awareness that will allow for healthier interpersonal relationships.
Kathryn Schesso, MA, LMFT

Kathryn holds a Masters degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has advanced training in Play Therapy and is working to re-tool her skill set in treating trauma for individuals of all ages. Kathryn has extensive experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, families and children. Her approach reflects her values and beliefs that all humans have the innate capacity and drive toward healing and health when given the right supports. Providing a safe environment that encourages and supports these drives allows the individual to direct their own course toward achieving their own goals.
Kathryn has worked with children and adults struggling with serious mental health issues such as Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress, and Major Mood Disorders. She has also worked with family conflict and couples presenting with a variety of concerns.
Brynlee Meyer

Brynlee occasionally makes an appearance at the clinic, if you see her; say hi! She is a friendly girl who loves her part time job helping out in sessions. Brynlee is about the size of a small horse so she can look intimidating at first but is just as sweet as a teddy bear.
