Meet The Team
Arika Meyer, LADC
Chemical Health Treatment Director
Aricka Meyer began her career in the human service field as a chemical health counselor for adolescents and eventually branching out to serve in a High Intensity Inpatient treatment facility for adults. Aricka completed a Bachelors in Psychology; minor in sociology and chemical dependency at Bemidji State University. Aricka is and has been a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Minnesota for the past 13 years. She believes there are many roads to recovery and that programming should not only address genetic, environmental, and the development of life skills, but also address the unique characteristics of each individual. Aricka believes in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery, thus incorporating not only the 12 steps, but also cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and person-centered techniques provided in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Paul Meyer, LADC
Chemical Health Counselor
Paul discovered his passion for Chemical Dependency Counseling while working as a County Social Worker. He completed his course work at Mesabi Community College and obtained his LADC Licensure in 2023. Paul also completed the additional classroom instruction on adolescent development in order to provide services to adolescent clients. Paul recently retired from his full time job at the county after 28 years and is enjoying his new part time career. Paul’s approach reflects his belief that addiction is no respecter of persons and that every client needs to be treated with respect and dignity. When he is not working, Paul enjoys spending time at the cabin with his family and friends.
Katelin Riendeau
Chemical Health Counselor, ADC-T
Katelin has worked in the mental health field since 2020 and is currently completing courses to become a LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) through Minnesota North College. "Getting to witness clients making changes to evolve into their best selves" is the thing she finds most rewarding about being an Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Compass North. When not at work, Katelin enjoys spending time with her son and husband, being outdoors and traveling.
